Xoami Mi 8 full specs, features and price review



Xiaomi Mi 8 is a smartphone that was manufactured and released by the Chinese OEM in June 2018. However, the xiaomi mi 8 just like the iPhone x smartphone comes with a notch display that has a 3D infrared light face recognition technology to make unlocking the device easier at night,  the device also has the trending round Conner design as well.

Anyways, xaomi mi 8 comes with big screen with amazing performance on gaming and video watch for big screen lovers, the device features a Snapdragon 845 chip and dual impressive cameras. DESIGN

The xoami M8 has around Conner design and a notch display on the top which makes it looks like the iPhone x at the front. However, the device comes with an aluminum alloy overall unibody covered in a Corning Gorilla Glass 5, which makes the device beautiful.

The dual cameras are placed close to the edge of the device with the LED flash in between. The fingerprint scanner is spotted in the middle close to the top followed by the xaomi logo at the Bottom of the phone. The device is light in weight measuring about 7.6 in thickness and 175g in weight and it comes in colors like black, blue, white and Gold.

DISPLAY

Xaomi mi 8 is the first xaomi phone to come with a notch display screen. The notch has an infrared lens and light for 3D face recognition. However, the device is equipped with 6.21-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with resolution 1440 x 2880 pixels and 403 pixels per inch density. The screen boosts up to 83.8% screen-to-body ratio, with HDR10 complaint, DCI-P3 and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

CAMERA 

Xaomi mi 8 is built with 12mp + 12mp dual rear cameras. However, the first 12mp on top is an IMX363 Sony powered sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 1.4µm pixel size, 4-axis OIS and dual-pixel PDAF. The second 12MP is S5K3M3 telephoto camera from Samsung has an f/2.4 aperture and brings AI features enhancement for over 200 scenes.

That's not all, the cameras have features like 2x optical zoom, dual pixel phase detection autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama, 4-in-1 pixel binning and lots more. It shoots videos of 2160p@60fps and 1080p@30/240fps. At the front comes the 20MP front camera with  f/2.0 aperture, 1.8µm pixel size along with  AI beautification features and portrait settings to take care of your selfie needs.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE 

Underneath the Device comes the Snapdragon 845 processor from  Qualcomm that powers the phone. The Snapdragon 845 has an octa-core processor And 64 64-bit CPU architecture clocking at a very fast speed velocity of 2.8Ghz along with 10nm FinFET+ process technology. The Adreno 630 graphics processor from Qualcomm  takes care of graphics

The device comes in a single RAM variant. Thanks to it 6GB RAM that gives smooth multitasking performance of heavy apps with a memory speed of 1.8Ghz. While for storage the device comes in three storage variant. There is a 256GB, 128GB, and 64 ROM. However, the storage of the device cannot be expandable further. Xaomi mi 8 runs on the Android 8.0 Oreo flavor based on MIUI 10 skin
