Vivo Nex A is the cheaper version of Nex S, Vivo's smartphone that we reviewed recently. The device was launched alongside the Nex S smartphone and also come with some of the features of its processor. However, unlike the Nex S smartphone, the device did not come with an on-screen fingerprint scanner, instead, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back.
The RAM storage has also been reduced to 6GB and the device only comes with a single 128GB storage variant, but the dual rear cameras and selfie camera are still the same here. This time around, the Nex A comes with a Snapdragon 710 chipset with an octa-core processor clocking at 2.2Ghz along with Android Oreo and 4000mAh battery.

DESIGN
In terms of design, the Nex A comes with the same aluminum alloy overall unibody on its processor with curved edges and sides, making the device stunning. At the rear, we can spot the fingerprint scanner position in the middle that has been removed from the screen. However, the dual cameras and LED flash are still in the same position as its processor.Jovi (Vivo’s AI voice assistant) is still positioned on the hardware button by the side to help you with some cool stuff. When you turn to the side, the device has a measurement of 8mm in thickness and 199g in weighs overall just like its processor, it also available in black and Red colors as well.
DISPLAY
The Nex A screen is quite an upgrade, along with its fingerprint scanner position at the rear, the screen also has an in-display fingerprint scanner that users can use to gain quick access to the device, however, the device still comes with the bezel-less and notch-less screen of it processor along with the SoundCasting Technology that brings out all the sound from the screen.
The device still houses the same full view display that has 19:3:9 aspect ratio along with the massive 6.59-inch super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of its processor to give you the full view experience. The screen here has a resolution of 1080 X 2316 Pixels and 388 pixels per inch density, stretching up to 91.2% screen to body ratio as well.
CAMERA
There is no upgrade in the cameras as it still comes with the same dual 12mp camera which has f/1.8 aperture, 1/2.5″ sensor size, 1.4µm pixel size and Dual Pixel PDAF along with 5mp telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture that helps in Portrait modes and background blur, which shoot 4kvideos @30fps and comes with features like 4-axis OIS, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED dual-tone flash, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama.The 8mp dust resistant and a pop-up selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, that automatically pops up when you switch to selfie mode and turn invisible when you switch back to the main camera on it processor is still present here.

Vivo Nex A, unlike its processor, comes with the Snapdragon 710 chipset from Qualcomm working underneath, that is built with 10nm process technology. The processor here has an octa-core processor clocking at 2.2Ghz, while at the graphics department, the Adreno 616 graphics processor is responsible for taking care of graphics here.Vivo Nex A runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on Funtouch OS 4, for multitasking, the device comes with a single 6GB RAM. This should handle the multitasking of heavy apps easily. While for storage, the standard 128GB is here to accommodate all your files and documents. However, it cannot be expandable further.
