Security and privacy is one thing that keeps our device and it's content safe from others, imagine a content on your phone you don't want others to see, you might want to find a way to keep it private, so that others won't spy on it.
Few weeks ago I wrote an article on how to hide files on Android phone with gallery vault,Click here to see how to hide files on Android phone with(gallery vault).but on this tutorial i will be teaching about how to hide files on Android phone without using third-party apps, on Android 6.0(marshmallow) and above precisely. well I haven't tried this on other Android device versions, but is working perfectly on( marshmallow 6.0) device.
As most of us know the Android 6.0(marshmallow) came with so many amazing features e.g micro intelligence, smart lock,screen pinning etc.So Let's proceed with the tutorial.
HOW DO I HIDE MY FILES WITHOUT THIRD-PARTY APPS?
SEPTS TO FOLLOW
✓launch your apps drawer>click on settings while on settings scroll down to security>click on security while on security scroll down and look for(Data protection)>click on data protection and setting your pattern lock, while on data protection> click on on the plus icon at the top< and it take you to a page to select either your(internal/SD card storage) if your files are in internal storage click on(internal storage) while if it's in your(SD card storage) click on it, now location where the files you want to hide are in your (internal/sdcard storage) and click on an icon that looks like a pen at the top of the page, Now select as many many files you want to hide e.g(pictures, music, videos, others) and click on that icon that looks like a key at the top of the page, a pop might appear like this " Start Locking" wait for some few minutes or toggle your notification bar to see if it has finished Locking/hiding< if its successfully, your files has successfully been hidden.
now no one easy can see/spy on them unless they know your "data protection pattern lock" so I advise you should keep your pattern safe from others.
If you still want to confirm that your files has been hidden, look for it on your(internal or Sd card storage) you won't find it there.
HOW DO I UNHIDE MY HIDDEN FILES?
To unhide your files follow these Sept.
✓launch your apps drawer< click on settings>security>Data protection.
✓ Draw your pattern, now click on these 3dot at the top of your data protection page, click on edit and select the files you want to be unhidden, now click on that key icon at the top of the page and your files will be unhidden.
